Engineering Assistant

Cascade Plastics Company, Inc. seeks a qualified individual to be our Engineering Assistant. This position will assist the Engineering Department with implementation of new projects, jig and fixture development, packaging, bill of materials development, quote reviews, tool evaluations & documentation. The Engineering Assistant will participate and manage new mold tests and evaluations while developing SolidWorks skills for quoting and design work. This is a great opportunity to support the sales & manufacturing team with all aspects of new projects while learning about thermoplastic materials and mold/part design. This individual must have a minimum of 3 years experience in the plastics industry; preferably injection molding that includes machining and tooling experience. B.S. degree in Engineering or equivalent work experience desired. Technical drawing, writing, 3D CAD and SolidWorks skills are a plus.

Sales/Project Engineer

Cascade Plastics Company, Inc. seeks a qualified individual to be a technical contact for customers providing assistance with materials, tooling & part design. This candidate will provide tooling quotes, injection molded plastic part pricing along with basic 3D design and engineering services. It will be their responsibility to provide customers with project management of new products, design changes and product manufacturing and development; develop and present proposals for tooling, molded part and assembly services to existing customers and prospects. This individual must have 5-7 years experience in the plastics industry, preferably injection molding; B.S. degree desired; technical drawing, writing & 3D CAD skills – SolidWorks a plus; thorough understanding of plastic part design; self-directed, motivated goal seeker looking for advancement opportunities; strong communication skills including technical documentation and presentations; experience with presenting sales proposals; ability to work with product development teams, management, customers & vendors. This position is based in Fife, Washington.

Mold Technician position available:

Cascade Plastics Company, Inc. is seeking a qualified individual to be a Mold Technician in a great team environment.

This person will be responsible for: setting up a variety of injection molding machines, preparing them for operation; monitor machines; adjustments to machines to insure part meets quality & dimensions and run time specifications; follow job book and work closely with Q.A.; run automatics; monitor machines for material. This candidate must have 1+ years experience as a Mold Technician, mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting skills & be capable of multi-tasking. Professional characteristics desired: Positive, open communicator, team player, flexible, willing to take on challenges, high degree of integrity, dedicated & loyal, proactive and self-motivated.
